I’ve been thinking of Env as the things that would go in more than about half my letters. (I always feel like I’m cheating when I write the same thing to two people, no matter how rephrased.) Now I’m stuck sorting things I could talk about: what goes on IRC, what goes in letters, and what goes here? To scare myself into doing something, here are some things I intend to do here:

• conservation and naturalness (nothing done yet)
• historical perspective, aging, and the future’s myths (5 ¶, half good)
• GRIN, the Prime Directive, and futurism – separate from above? (nothing)
• Orion (the game) in one of the above (2 ¶, half good)
• easy classics in computer science (nothing)
• dependency, the cloud, and gratitude (400 words, 100 good)
• remarks on photography (800ish words, none good)
• something short on the ease of division (20 words, all good)
• that thing about adaptation and learning – not for blogging? (nothing)
