I’m trying something new: selling prints. I’ve sold some before as one-offs – the nice old lady who wanted a print of the St Johns Bridge because she commuted over it – but I’ve never had a store before.

I’m a little nervous. Most of the photos I’ve been taking lately are supposed to be savory and a little gristly, not sweet and smooth (or excitingly bitter or salty), and I don’t know how they’ll sell. I do think they’ll be more rewarding to keep on your wall than most of the postcardy stuff I see around. So I’m starting with a few that I think manage to meet some traditional standards of beauty in landscape photography while still having interesting complexity, and we’ll see.
